My Makeup Bag

I am not a big makeup person. By no means am I a makeup guru. I never will be. Yes, I love makeup on other people. I even love it on myself. I just don't take the time on a regular basis to do it. Once in a while I'll put a little on. I like doing makeup videos on my Youtube channel. Just talking and sharing life updates as I put my makeup on. But I thought it would be a fun blog post to share with you all about what's currently in my makeup bag. Mind you, I haven't cleaned it out in a while. I have several lipsticks in there!
So,
I have a tube of Loreal Magic Skin Beautifier BB Cream. I've used this a few times and I really like the coverage it gives and how it makes my skin look so dewy and perfect.
A tube of LA Colors HD waterproof mascara. I think this mascara is just OK. I don't love it. But it works.
A Lorac eye shadow in the shade Mesmerize.
A Palladio Crushed metallic eye shadow in the shade Eclipse.
A couple of eye brow pencils. Several pink and red lipsticks.
An eyebrow razor.
A pencil sharpener.
Toe separators.
2 roll on oil perfumes.
Tweezers.

And that's about all. Nothing spectacular. I didn't want to list every single lip product I have in there. But here is a picture of everything.
And here is a picture of the last makeup look I did.

Been A Long Time...

So, since I last posted...
It's been a really long time and I felt like I needed to start my blog up again. My last post was about my DIY planner in July 2016. Wowzers! Almost 2 years ago! I want to build "start over" and build a new fan base. But what has happened and where am I at in my life now?
I had another baby! She's 2 years old now. So at the time of my last post, she was a newborn. We weren't planning on having another so she came as a surprise when we conceived, but I am thankful to God for her now. Her name is Heaven and she's a girly girl! With pretty blondish hair.
My sweet little girl!

Also, my step daughter, Mauriah moved out of the house. She's living on her own now and making her own decisions. So it's just me, hubby, Heaven and Reese. And Unyque coming to visit from time to time. Unyque is my 8 year old step daughter. Reese is 5 now and finishing up pre-k! We're nearing the end of the school year, which I'm glad for. I'm so ready for it to be over, and for summer to appear!
Oh! I started a new YouTube channel :-) I am a family vlogger now. So if you want more, besides my blog, you can visit me there and subscribe. My most recent video:
As far as my personal relationship with the Lord, me and hubby started going to a new church in 2016 as well. It's called The Place. It's a small church started by 2 missionaries. We love it there and have made it home. I've gone through a couple of intense Bible study books since you've last heard from me. The most significant one being Breaking Free by Beth Moore. That one took me about 3, maybe even 4 months to complete and it was really, really in depth and just GOOD for my soul. I am currently reading Revelation and going through short devotional reading plans on the Youversion Bible app. One, after another. last night, I got on my face before the Lord, breathed in His presence and just prayed like I hadn't done in a while.
Now that I have 2 babies at home full time, and Heaven is 2 years old and potty training, we are starting to want another lol. Yeah, you heard it here first! We're not planning for another one, really. Just talking like we both want another kid eventually. I think it would be best to start trying once Heaven is in undies.
Pretty much everything else is the same! We (my hubby and I) like to keep to ourselves. He is a lot more outgoing than I am, but all we do really is work, stay home, take care of the kids and go to church. A simple life <3 p="">'Til next time... Take care! My DIY Planner

I've been watching a lot of planner videos lately on YouTube. At first I thought, "It's just another trend for people to show their planners and get views, psshhh." A few people I watched spend a lot of money on planners and paper supplies, and I guess I ain't got it like that LOL. But then I went on YouTube and searched DIY planner. Now they got me :-) Here's mine:

I decided to make my own planner for the purpose of keeping track of my life with details on my schedule, appointments, notes, and lists. I personalized it simply by printing some images from Google and taping them into a cheap notebook I bought that already has a cute cover design. I didn't use sticky paper and laminate the images. I did mine very simply. But if you want to go all out with yours, here is one of the videos I watched by Vasseur Beauty on YouTube that inspired me to make my own planner.

Vasseur Beauty is really one of those planner ladies. She's the organized type who does cleaning videos and keeps things in tip top shape. Which I really admire, by the way. I'm just NOT that LOL. Wish I was, but I'm not. So keeping this planner is helping me. And the personalization makes it fun, so I actually go and look to my planner to document ideas, things I need to do and such that to help to keep my mind and life in order. Here are a couple more pages I'll share with you:

Adding the quotes not only made my planner look pretty, but it gives me inspiration for my life, so when I look at the cover and the pages, I don't feel like planning for my time to give proper attention to the areas of my life that need special tending is tedious.
If you have a DIY planner, I'd like to see yours! Send me a link or comment below with a pic. Take care!

How To Get Into The Bible

Having a relationship with Jesus is the most important thing in anyone's life. Whether you accept Him or not, it's true. Jesus is the reason we're here on this Earth and the only guarantee of everlasting life. His love for you is more amazing than one can imagine. I know because the Bible says so, yes. But also because in my own relationship with Him, the love I've experienced has been amazing. But I know that there's so much more to Him.
Which brings me to what I want to talk about with you. You know we've all get busy lives with a million things to think about and a million things to do. At the end of the day, we just want to relax, right? Getting in that time with Jesus can sometimes take discipline because after a full day of life, sometimes I can shut down and don't want to talk to anyone. But it's still important to find that time at the beginning of the day, during the day and /or the end of the day for Jesus time. There are different ways.
Thing is, He's always available because He can hear you wherever you are, whenever. So if alone (or even semi-alone), you can have a conversation with Him. Talking to Jesus can become a part of your daily life. Depend on Him for everything.
I want to talk about how to get in Bible reading time. I love to sit down and read my Bible. Turn the pages and read chapter after chapter after chapter. But it's not always convenient. You know, there are audio bibles for every book of the Bible on YouTube. Just type in the box the book of the Bible you want to listen to and you can lay down and close your eyes or even work at your desk or clean the house and listen at the same time. Another really awesome resource is devotional books. There are a few that I use. One that I have and have gone through the entire thing is called Daily With The King by W. Glyn Evans.

A good devotional can be a really good companion when you're developing a relationship with Jesus. It can bring conviction, comfort, strength, hope and more... Let me go back to audio Bibles. The best one I've come across is called the Bible Experience. It's a dramatized audio Bible that 400 different actors came together to do. It really sucks you in and gets you interested, if you're not already.

It's one of my favorite things! :-) So I mean, your relationship with Jesus doesn't have to be boring. We're talking about a relationship here, not a set of rules that you need to check off your list. So don't be afraid to seek God about what He wants for your life and to grow in love with Him!

How I Use Coconut Oil For My Hair

I love coconut oil and just started using it again a couple of months ago. There are so many different uses for it. It's really a wonder oil! I was reading a book about it that tells the origins of it and the amazing things it does for your health when you use it to cook with or even eat it raw. It can really change your health! Coconut oil has been known to keep hearts healthy, and even reversing certain diseases! I have used it to cook with. I used it when I baked my chicken in the oven instead of vegetable or olive oil, which I usually use. Just last night, I used it in my rice lol... My daughter immediately noticed the taste of the coconut oil :-) My husband has used it in fruit salad (which I thought was going to be nasty but was really good). I haven't used it in a smoothie yet, but will try that soon!...
... But you wanted to know about my hair, huh? There are a couple of different ways I've used coconut oil in my hair. If I'm going to be shampooing it, I'll heat a little up and soak my hair in it with a plastic cap on. Leave it in for at least a half hour and wash it out! And after I wash it, I'll put in my leave in conditioner and a little coconut oil on top. Sometimes, I'll leave the coconut oil in overnight and wash it out in the morning instead of just that half hour. When I wake up and wash it out, the softness is just awesome! The brand I'm using right now is nice and creamy. The texture of coconut oil varies from brand to brand, and I like this one. It's called Tresomega Nutrition. I bought it at Sam's Club for $16.99 for 54 OZ.. You can buy it on Amazon. It's a 2 pack of 54 OZ. jars.

In Everything Give Thanks

Today was one of those days. I felt down and just didn't want to do the day. I have them once in a while. More often than I'd like to admit. But I always know I need to come back to God and pour out to Him so He can pour into me. But I never thought of a bad day actually being considered sin. When I'm going against God's will, it's sin, whatever the case may be! 1 Thessalonians 5:18 says "give thanks in all circumstances; for this is God's will for you, in Christ Jesus."
Have you ever heard someone say something and it was exactly what you needed to hear? Well, this whole sermon I'm going to share with you was just that way. The whole thing. It brought me to repentance and thankfulness. I pray you listen and take this to heart as I did.

A Beautiful Mother's Day

Yesterday was my best Mother's Day since becoming a mother. It was a sunny, beautiful day, I was with family and we enjoyed ourselves. I'm going to share more, but first I want to say that I feel like God has more for me and my family. Like something GOOD is coming. And I don't know what, I'm just expecting the great! This past Winter was hard, and this past year really, for us, hasn't been the easiest. We've been blessed, 'cause God's hand is always on us, but as far as our family being together and whole.... Well, I'm not going to go fully into it, but we've had some difficulty with our teenage daughter that's been like, take it as it comes. To God be the glory because slowly, He's bringing restoration. Only Him!
But I'll share my Mother's Day with you :-) We got up and went to church and received a message that I wasn't expecting. The pastor didn't speak, but it was a woman he invited to do the Mother's Day message. She spoke about identity in Christ, being free of your past, and what your purpose in God is. I was blessed, as I'm sure some other people were. When she spoke, I was moved because I know that the enemy is always attacking my identity and my past is brought up a lot. But thank God because in Him, I know I'm truly not who I used to be. God has brought me so far in my walk with Him, but I know He wants more from me and for me.
So, after church, my husband bought me a potted flower. It's a Marigold. We went home and cleaned up from the night before, 'cause we were up late, and my husband started up the grill. My god mom and her two teenagers (I love them!) came over and ate and spent time with us... I don't know, it may sound simple, but it was such a beautiful day to me because of time with family and because the joy and peace and fellowship of the Lord was all over it. Here are some more pics:
